Girls’ Trip vs Guys’ Trip: Planning PCB Spring Break for Your Crew

Different crews, different trips. What actually changes when you plan PCB for the girls or for the guys, and what stays the same.

The short version: the logistics are identical (same week, one place, one card each). What changes is the room math, the budget spread and how the nights get planned. The safety rules never change.

A girls’ trip and a guys’ trip to PCB look completely different on Instagram. Behind the scenes, they need the exact same three things: one week, one place, and a PCB Club Card for every person. Here’s what’s actually different when you plan each, and what isn’t.

What’s the same (no matter who’s coming)

  • One week for everyone. The 2027 weeks are Feb 27 to Mar 5, Mar 6 to 12, Mar 13 to 19 and Mar 20 to 26. One card covers one week.
  • One place. Book where you’re staying first. DoItForBreak has the guide to where to stay in Panama City Beach.
  • One card each. Each person needs their own card: Ultimate $200, Platinum $100 or Fred’s Card $80, plus taxes and fees.
  • Pickup together. Noon to 11 PM at the Welcome Center at Hammerhead Fred’s, from Saturday, Feb 27, 2027, with valid photo ID and order confirmation.

Planning the girls’ trip

The girls’ trip planners we know are usually ahead of schedule and slightly worried about it. A few things that help:

  • Room math matters. Bathroom-to-person ratio is a real factor in morning harmony. Split by bed if rooms aren’t equal; the split calculator handles a private-room premium.
  • Outfit planning is a group project. Theme nights like Snowfall (wear white) and the glow parties go better when the group shares a list. Springbreakology has what to wear to every PCB party.
  • Buddy pairs from day one. Assign them before the trip so it’s never awkward to ask.

Planning the guys’ trip

The guys’ trip usually gets planned in one burst of energy, then forgotten until someone panics in January. To avoid that:

  • Set the deadlines anyway. Week vote, place money, card purchase. The group chat kit has messages that work.
  • Budget spread is wider. One guy wants Ultimate and the VIP section, one is happy with Fred’s Card. That’s fine: cards are personal, so nobody subsidizes anyone.
  • The buddy system is not optional. “We’ll find each other” is not a plan. Pick a meeting point every night.

Mixed crews

Co-ed groups get the best of both, plus one extra job: be explicit about rooms before booking. Nobody wants to find out who’s on the couch at check-in.

Same goes for the card mix. If half the group wants Ultimate and half wants Platinum, that works, but plan the nights around Platinum’s 11 PM free-entry cutoff so nobody is stuck outside while the rest of the crew is in. The crew card picker shows the whole group’s total, plus taxes and fees, on one screen.

What never changes

Nobody leaves alone. Rides home are decided before going out. Nobody drives after drinking. 21+ to drink with valid photo ID, and nobody borrows one. These aren’t girls’-trip rules or guys’-trip rules. They’re trip rules.

reminder for tonight: buddy pairs same as last night, meet out front at 9:30, nobody leaves alone
