PCB Party Pass

Money, without the awkward

Split the cost of a PCB spring break group trip

The fair version, fast: everyone buys their own card. The place splits by bed. Drivers get gas covered. Groceries split evenly. Money comes in before anyone books. Plug your totals into the calculator below and paste the result into the chat.

Each person pays

    Shared pot: $0

Cards are not in the pot: each person buys their own PCB Club Card ($200, $100 or $80, plus taxes and fees).

Everything runs in your browser. Your numbers are saved only on this device (local storage) so they are there when you come back.

Lock the place for the whole crew

Book where you're staying, then split it.

You can't split a place you haven't booked. Lock one place for the whole crew first.

The rules that keep the group together

    1. Cards: everyone buys their own

Each person needs their own PCB Club Card, so cards never go in the shared pot. It also keeps levels personal: your Ultimate friend pays $200, your Fred’s Card friend pays $80, and nobody subsidizes anybody’s VIP section. Run the crew card picker first so everyone knows their number.

    2. The place: by bed, decided before booking

Equal shares are simplest. If one room is clearly better, give it a premium (20% is a common starting point) and decide before anyone sees the floor plan. DoItForBreak has the full system for splitting a condo, including deposits and the “someone bailed” rule.

    3. Gas: drivers ride free

The driver brings the car and the attention span. Riders split gas, tolls and parking. If everyone drives their own car, everyone pays their own gas.

    4. Groceries: even split, one run

One big run on day one, split evenly. Personal stuff (that specific seltzer) is personal.

    5. Money before bookings

Collect shares by a date, then book. The group chat kit has a “money’s due” message that is firm without being weird.

Script for the money talk: “Before anyone books anything: place is split by bed, drivers don’t pay gas, groceries are even, everyone buys their own card. Shares due Friday. Cool?”

    Money questions

Should one person pay for everyone's PCB Club Card?

Easiest is no: each person needs their own card and buys it themselves for the group’s week. If someone fronts a card, pay them back the same day.

Is splitting the place by bed fair?

Usually, yes. A private room pays a little more and the couch pays a little less. Agree on the premium before you book, never after someone has claimed the good room.

    Do drivers pay for gas?

Our rule: no. The driver supplies the car and the driving, and the riders split the gas. Tolls and parking go in the gas pot.

What if someone drops out after paying?

Agree on the rule up front. For cards, PCB Club Card says refunds are available up to 7 days before your week starts, and a pass may also be transferred to another eligible attendee before pickup.
